Deputy Chief Inspector - Brendan McGuigan

Brendan McGuigan is the Deputy Chief Inspector Criminal Justice Inspection. His professional background was in policing and his last position before joining CJI was as District Commander in Lisburn DCU. Brendan's role is to help the Chief Inspector develop the Inspection Programme and to manage the Inspectors and Assistant Inspectors as they conduct their work.

Brendan is also the Accounting Officer for Criminal Justice Inspection and as such must control the budget and monitor expenditure to ensure efficient and effective use of allocated resources. Brendan is the chief executive for CJI and as such is responsible for the day to day running of the organisation. He believes that getting it right within CJI increases the success that the organisation will have as it goes about its business that is why a lot of attention is given to teamwork and creating a positive working environment.
