Home > NEWS > CJI News Archive > 2021 > July - September > CJI Annual Report and Accounts 2020-21 CJI Annual Report and Accounts 2020-21 30/06/2021 Criminal Justice Inspection Northern Ireland (CJI) has today (7 July 2021) published its Annual Report and Accounts for 2020-21 The report shows the work undertaken by the Inspectorate during the course of the last financial year. “I am pleased that CJI has once again secured an unqualified audit certificate from the Comptroller and Auditor General, who recorded that he had no observations to make in relation to CJI’s financial statements,” said James Corrigan, Criminal Justice Inspection Northern Ireland’s Chief Executive and Accounting Officer. “During the financial year we published seven full inspection reports, one Ministerial request and three Follow-up Reviews. All recommendations made by CJI were accepted. “This Annual Report and Accounts shows that CJI continues to maintain effective corporate governance arrangements and continued to produce and publish inspection reports, despite the challenges of the past year. We aim to support improvement to secure a better justice system for all,” he said. CJI Chief Inspector Jacqui Durkin said: “The last financial year was challenging for everyone and tested how and where we work while maintaining effective inspection services.
