Inspectors examine impact of prisoner recalls

A new CJI inspection report has examined the impact of prisoner recalls on the criminal justice system in Northern Ireland. View Report

The report looked at the operation of the prisoner recall system as it sought to balance the need the need to provide offenders released on licence with the opportunity to make a fresh start, with the requirement to effectively manage the risk of further offending and maintaining public safety.
