report of an inspection of Hydebank Wood Young Offender Centre (YOC) carried out by CJI and Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Prisons has indicated the YOC is struggling to deal with managing the needs of a variety of remanded and sentenced young men and juveniles.  The YOC, which is located on a site shared with Ash House, Northern Ireland’s women’s prison, was found not to be performing effectively when Inspectors visited the facility last November.
