NPM to give evidence at 66th Session of the Committee Against Torture

Representatives from the UK National Preventative Mechanism (NPM) will be appearing in Geneva today (6 May 2019) to provide evidence for the 66th session of the Committee against Torture.
John Wadham, Chair of the UK NPM and Louise Finer, NPM Co-ordinator will provide evidence to the Committee based on the submission made by the UK NPM.
The CJI, which is one of the four NPM bodies in Northern Ireland, provided evidence to the submission.
Officials representing the UK Government will appear before the Committee on 7 and 8 May for the review of its 6th periodic report.
