In 2017 CJI carried out a review of how Cyber Crime was dealt with in Northern Ireland and made seven recommendations to the PSNI for improvements.

Updates provided to us by the PSNI showed it has undertaken work to implement our recommendations and raise public awareness of the threat of cyber crime and online scams in general.
“Monitoring progress on these and other recommendations, including how front line officers deal with incidents of cyber crime, are likely to feature in my future inspection programme that is currently being developed,” said the Chief Inspector.
