Criminal Justice Inspection Northern Ireland (CJI) has published its Annual Report and Accounts for the financial year ending 31 March 2025.

The report was approved by the Northern Ireland Audit Office Comptroller and Auditor General and highlights the work undertaken by the Inspectorate during the last financial year.

“I am pleased that the Comptroller and Auditor General has issued a clean audit certificate and recorded that she had no observations to make in relation to CJI’s financial statements,” said James Corrigan, CJI’s Chief Executive and Accounting Officer.

The Annual Report and Accounts shows CJI continues to maintain effective corporate governance arrangements, has been prudent in its budget management and places on record the valuable work carried out by CJI during the course of 2024-25.

CJI Chief Inspector Jacqui Durkin highlighted CJI’s work with partner Inspectorates, the value of their expertise the positive relationships which existed in support of a shared focus on improvement.

She thanked the Chief Executive, Inspectors and Business Support Team for their continued professionalism and commitment to CJI’s delivery and effective governance.
